INPEX CORPORATION is an oil & gas exploration and production company
based in Japan. The mission of INPEX is to provide a stable and
efficient supply of energy to our customer by exploring and developing
oil and natural gas resources throughout the world. In Indonesia, INPEX
is acting as Kontraktor Kontrak Kerjasama (KKKS) with BPMigas for many
upstream projects since 1966. INPEX is the operator of Masela Block
(Abadi project) offshore Maluku, Arafura Sea, Indonesia. INPEX is
pressing ahead with technical and engineering studies of the Abadi field
development for future commercial Floating LNG production.
Currently we have positions open in our Jakarta office as:
1. Sr. Legal Counsel (Dept Code: LGL)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepares or reviews all draft contracts, agreements, procedures
and policies, including provision of efficient and confidential
facilities for records and documents’ storage
2. Monitors corporate legality, new laws & provides legal opinion &
advice to Management, as required or necessary
3. Coordinates claim and court litigation in Indonesia
4. Advises and represents Company in matters requiring professional
understanding and application of the law
5. Provides general legal advice to the Management
6. Ensures that all opinions and advice given and overall Company’s
activities carried out comply with Indonesian Law (& International Law
when relevant) & Governmental regulations/instructions as well as
Company’s policies & rules
7. Participates in any long or short term Management policy
planning which implicates Company’s commitments or has direct or
indirect legal implications, as requested by the Management
8. Participates in drafting or preparing procedures and policies
which may have legal implications
9. Maintains liaison with Head Office Legal Department and deals
with the legal and contractual matters requiring their involvement
10. Ensures the updating of knowledge of Governmental (National and
Regional) rules and regulations, as well as Indonesian and relevant
International Laws which are relevant to Company’s business activities
in Indonesia
Qualifications:
1. Has education background of at least Bachelor degree (S1 degree
in Indonesia) majoring in Law from reputable university
2. Has minimum of 10-year related experience in oil and gas
industry
3. Familiar with the BPMIGAS PTK 007 regulation
4. Has a good writing skill and be able to write a
more-than-five-page report containing analysis or policies in English
5. Has a fluent & good verbal skill in English
6. Able to give a good presentation in English
7. Has ability to use software: intermediate level in Word, Excel
and Lotus Notes
8. Has a good leadership skill
2. Legal Counsel (Dept Code: LGL)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Under general supervision and directives of Legal General
Manager, prepares or reviews all draft contracts and agreements
including provision of efficient and confidential facilities for records
and documents’ storage
2. Monitors corporate legality, new laws & provides legal opinion &
advice to Management, as required or necessary
3. Assists Sr. Legal Counsel in coordinating claim & court
litigation in Indonesia court litigation or foreign countries
4. Advises and represents Company in matters requiring professional
understanding and application of the law
5. Provides general legal advice to the Management
6. Ensures that all opinions & advice given & overall Company’s
activities carried out comply with Indonesian Law (and International Law
when relevant) & Governmental regulations/instructions as well as
Company’s policies & rules
7. Participates in drafting or preparing procedures and policies
which may have legal implications assigned to the incumbent
8. Ensures the updating of :
a. Own subordinates’ expertise of jurisprudence generally and legal
function and it practices applicable to Oil/Gas industry specifically
b. Knowledge of Governmental (National & Regional) rules and
regulations, as well which are relevant to Company’s business in
Indonesia
Qualifications:
1. Has education background of at least Bachelor degree (S1 degree
in Indonesia) majoring in Law from reputable university
2. Has minimum of 10-year related experience in oil and gas
industry

3. Drilling Logistic Engineer (Dept Code: DRL)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handles all site materials / equipment warehousing,
shipping/receiving, local purchase and transportation, including
maintenance of appropriate records
2. Provides and maintains the inventory control records
3. Provides for records and location control of all Company-owned
and rented drill tool equipment
4. Maintains file on material in transit both by sea and air
5. Receives, or as necessary take steps to acquire, proper shipping
documents, packing lists and invoices
6. In charge for overall Logistics functional matters such as:
a. Materials/Equipment
b. Shipping
c. Transportation
d. Supply Vessels
e. Local Purchase
Qualifications:
1. 35 to 50 years of age
2. Has related education background from reputable university
3. Has minimum of 10-year related experience in oil and gas
industry with experience in other section as well as Logistics work
4. Has a fluent & good verbal skill in English
5. Has good interpersonal skills
4. Sr. Planning Engineer (Dept Code: PRJ)
Sr. Planning Engineer is a LEAD position supported by Planning Engineers
(PEs) assigned to the Project Management Teams. Sr. Planning Engineer
will have following responsibilities during FEED and EPC phases of the
project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Understand Planning and Scheduling (P&S) needs of the project
through discussions with stakeholders, review of corporate requirements
and identification of internal / external interfaces.
2. Propose best suited Work Breakdown, P&S procedures and
processes. Also propose associated P&S manpower, IT and other logistic
requirements.
3. Obtain approval of the procedures through interface with all
levels of the hierarchy.
4. Make the Planning Engineers (PEs) aware of all P&S procedures,
processes, systems, interfaces and requirements. Train as required.
5. Implement P&S procedures, processes and IT systems for P&S with
the support of PEs.
6. Develop Integrated Project Master Schedule and update it
monthly. Report overall project earned progress, forecast finish date,
variances, major issues and recommendations. Conduct schedule risk
analysis as required.
7. Protect INPEX interests, with the support of PEs, by ensuring
timely completion of the project and avoiding any claims from the
Contractors.
8. Define P&S strategy for each major contract and ensure P&S
inputs to tender documents adequately cover all the P&S requirements
including progress measurement criteria. Ensure PEs effectively support
the PMTs on bid evaluation; approval of contractors’ P&S procedures
and baseline schedule; verifications of contractors’ progress;
schedule delay forecasts and recommendations; proactive approach to
manage interfaces, changes and claims.
9. Professional P&S advice to PMTs and to the Management. Interface
with PMTs, Finance, Strategic Planning, and external stakeholders.
10. Leadership role: Prepare that the PEs can work independently
within the assigned PMT. Monitor and ensure quality of P&S services to
the PMTs by getting feedbacks, visiting work locations, guiding the PEs
and supporting them as required.
Qualifications:
1. Indonesian or Expatriates
2. Bachelor of Engineering (preferred) or other appropriate
qualification from reputable university
3. Minimum of 15-years of P&S experience of which minimum 7 years
should be as a Lead with above mentioned responsibilities during FEED
and EPC phases on complex oil & gas projects (CAPEX over US$ 1billion)
4. Prefer experience on Offshore, FPSO and/or LNG projects. However
we can also consider the candidates with outstanding experience on other
mega and complex oil & gas projects
5. Hands-on experience of using Primavera P6 and Pertmaster
6. Experience of working within Client Project Teams is required.
However candidates with outstanding EPC company experience can also be
considered
7. Proven leadership and mentoring skills
8. Has a fluent & good verbal skill in English
5. Planning Engineer (Dept Code: PRJ)
Planning Engineer carries out Planning & Scheduling function to ensure
that the PMT and the Management are always aware about the current
progress status against the baseline, possible schedule delays and
forecast finish date for the complete scope and parts thereof. Planning
Engineer also ensures that Planning procedures are followed by the PMT.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Development of Level 1 & 2 baseline schedule for the assigned
scope
2. Review of Contractors’ claimed progress for invoice
purposes, monthly schedule and progress updating
3. Calculation of Earned progress and variances
4. Inputs to tenders, tender / bid evaluation, review of
Contractors’ Planning procedures
5. Change control
6. Interaction with PMT members, Strategic Planning, C&B Section
and Contractors
7. Response to Corporate queries, feedback on procedures and inputs
to estimating databank
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Engineering (preferred) or other appropriate
qualification from reputable university
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience of above mentioned
responsibilities in Oil & Gas PSC
3. Able to work independently on major oil & gas projects during
FEED and EPC phases
4. Hands-on experience of using Primavera P6
5. It is not necessary to have experience in schedule risk analysis
and use of Pertmaster. However the candidates with such additional
experience shall be preferred
6. Preferable experience within Client Project Teams. However EPC
company experience can also be considered
7. Excellent communication in written and oral English
8. Has a fluent & good verbal skill in English
6. Document Controller (Dept Code: PRJ)
Document controller is responsible for the overall control of all
company documents. This kind of task is more on proper document keeping
and communicating with other departments regarding documents and files
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates with all departments of the company in order to
assure that all documents are kept in the right place and in the right
department file archive
2. Ensure that all corporate documents are well checked and
submitted on time prior to the documents submission due date. It is a
fact that not all employees follow the standard format thus making it
the responsibility of a document controller to edit documents that have
typographical errors and other types of errors that may lead to the
disqualification of a document
3. Handles file validation and document controlling. Before
submitting a document, a document or file must first be checked and
approved. This is the task of a document controller that all files
submitted are approved by the superior in charge.
4. Performs evaluations and document audits in the whole company is
one of the primary tasks of a document controller
5. Effectively follow the company’s standard operating
procedures in submissions of documents. Standard document submissions
must take
6. Submitting corporate documents punctually and with quality.
Documents with poor quality may lead to further an operational problem
that is why it is important to submit each document with standard
quality.
7. Ensures that all documents have no errors in filenames,
submissions, etc before submitting it to the nest department to avoid
confusion
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree or other appropriate qualification from
reputable university
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience of above mentioned
responsibilities in Oil & Gas PSC
3. Excellent communication in written and oral English
4. Has a fluent & good verbal skill in English
